Day 1: Let the Fun Begin at Flx Biergarten and the Catalina Museum
Kick-off your Oktoberfest weekend on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Flx Biergarten, Avalon’s first and only open-air biergarten. Here, you can whet your whistle with a variety of brews and purchase a one-of-a-kind OktoberFlx-branded stein for your adventures ahead.

At 6PM, head over to the Catalina Museum for Art and History. BYOS (that’s Bring Your Own Stein) for an evening of German beer, brats, lots of lederhosen, and live music by Hammerstein, an authentic Bavarian polka rock band. View the museum’s website for more information on how to register.

Day 2: Keep the Party Pouring
Hold on to your lederhosen, there's more fun in store! Make your way back to Flx Biergarten on Saturday, September 28, 2024 for OktoberFlx- a very special Oktoberfest event. Sample special German-inspired foods, drink your favorite German beers, and enjoy live music with your friends. Stick around to participate in one of our steinholding competitions, where you can prove you’re the strongest of the bunch. This ticketless event will be fun for the whole family!

As your Oktoberfest adventure comes to a close, consider extending your stay on this beautiful island. You can use an extra day to take a leisurely stroll to Descanso Beach Club and relax among the swaying palms. Or, opt for more adventure with a ride on the Catalina Island Zip Line Eco Tour or Bison Expedition.
