The Descanso Beach Club is Avalon's only seaside bar and restaurant. Featuring an outdoor patio and bar set in a romantic cove, the Descanso Beach Club is the perfect site for a relaxing day at the beach, a beachfront wedding, or an event on the large lawn area.
In this little slice of paradise, weddings are informal and fun. You can take your vows right on the beach or celebrate on the lawn. The gentle upward slope provides guests with theatrical seating overlooking the ocean. The patio is spacious enough to seat a crowd, and the brick barbeques can be fired up for casual luaus or extravagant feasts. Add a little steel-drum music, a few tiki torches, and let yourself be swept away by Catalina's intoxicating island ambiance.
Descanso Beach is a great place to snorkel, kayak or swim in the crystal clear water. Restrooms, outdoor showers, dressing rooms and chair rentals are available. Try the BBQ under the Stars service, where you cook your own entree and select from a tasty selection of side dishes.
