The Blackjack Campground is nestled among pine and eucalyptus trees near 2,097-foot Mt. Orizaba, Santa Catalina Island’s highest peak. At 1,600 feet above sea level, the facility provides eleven campsites with sweeping views of rolling terrain to the ocean. Situated several miles from both Avalon and Two Harbors, Blackjack Campground offers tranquility in the island’s interior.
The Blackjack Campground trailhead is accessible by either hiking, taking the Airport Shuttle from Avalon, or by Safari Bus. The trailhead for the campground is nine miles from Avalon and 11.8 miles from Two Harbors. Once at the trailhead, it is a 1.5-mile moderate hike into the campground.
Nightly camping fees are $12 for adults; $6 for children, per person per day.

Campers must check-in at either Island Plaza in Avalon or Two Harbors Visitor Services. If you pre-purchased firewood, you will be issued a lockbox key at check-in. There is a 10-day maximum at all campgrounds.
